Time to recap Planner Life Academy wedding planner workshop Day 2!

Day 2 feels electric. Everyone comes into day 2 more confident, excited and you can feel it immediately when you walk into the room! I love how quickly we all get to know one another and it allows us to continue to be opne, honest and support each other in a really special way. It’s hard to explain the feeling and experience, it’s truly what makes these three days like nothing else you can attend.

We start the day with lips and lashes from Design Visage. Helping each planner get photo ready and feel confident for their new headshot mini session with Ashley Rae.

Day 2 is really about setting design and planning, how to work really well with your vendor team and how to bring your client’s dreams to life. We start with Design Visage, talking about hair and make up, and all the things planners should know to set up their clients for success. Next we chat about some of the hardest lessons learned and how to reflect and learn no matter what.

Next, we dive into wedding design step by step. The exact process I use to collect client inspiration, where and how I organize photos and inspiration I love to drafting mood boards, layouts, wishlists and design decks. For so many planners this is a process that feels overwhelming and I am so happy to help simplify and create an easy to follow plan. We dive into rentals, florals and the super important floral mock up and design meeting- one of my favorites! i love getting to show my couples what they can expect and continue to refine the details so they love it even more.

Then Rachel Havel joined me for an honest conversation about the wedding industry’s best of lists and awards. Something I wish someone told me early on. You worth should not be defined by accolades and there are so many paths to success even if you are not the who’s who of this massive industry!

Next Karen from Blissfully Styled shared her experience in overcoming self doubt and impostor syndrome through styled shoots and have great insight for planners who might be facing the same challenges.

Then Shauntelle from Sposto Photography joined us to share insights and tips for flat lay styling with the beautiful stationery from Paper Cliche provided for each attendee.

Next our dear friend and hospitality expert Carizza from 24 Carrots teaches planners how to expertly manage table settings.

Back to the desks for our next panel, where we were so lucky to have Brando Kidd Photography, 618 Studios and Chard Photo join us for a panel on photo and video. Brandon, Paul, Kelley, Rich and I candidly discussed how planners can best work with these vendors and tips and insight into figuring out who might be the right fit for their clients.
