We celebrated our 10th Academy this year and, while it turned out to be different than the big affair we had started planning, we wouldn’t change a thing. It was intimate. It was joyful. It was everything we and our attendees needed in a year like this.

Meet Our Fall Class of 2019

Our class this year was small in order to keep everyone safe but we still got to welcome 10 women from across the country to our 10th wedding planner workshop. Some of them have lots of experience and came in order to refine their approach and others are just gearing up to start planning weddings professionally! This group clicked with each other really quickly and went out to grab a drink after the first day (secretly one of our favorite moments of our time together).

Community Over Competition

Community will always be at the core of what we do here at Academy and so much of that is about pouring back into the people who have supported you. And, we were incredibly thankful that two of our alums joined us for an incredibly insightful (and laugh-filled) conversation. Thank you Victoria Ann Events and Blissfully Styled Events for pouring into this year’s class!

We also took the time to give our online course for wedding planners a complete overhaul! (The biggest thank you to 618 Studios for all of their work on this!) And, while most of our guest speakers filmed their lessons remotely, we were thrilled to have Carizza of 24 Carrots Catering, Lily Roden Floral Studio, and Friar Tux on-site with us to shoot theirs!

Two Days of Education and Community

Our 2-day wedding planner workshop is an experience overflowing with education—with dozens of topics to cover, attendees leave with notebooks full of to-do’s and inspiration!
