1. Don’t Block Guests View

Floral arrangements shouldn't block guests view across the table. This is another reason why we recommend a floral mock up prior to the wedding. While at the mock up measure from your elbow to to your hand and if the centerpiece is below you should be safe. If your couple likes the idea of tall centerpieces, ensure the vessel or vase is clear or very slender so guests still can talk to the guests seating directly across from them. The last thing you want to see at your couples wedding is a centerpiece on the floorL

2. It’s Hip to be Rectangle

Rectangle and farm tables are here to stay so make sure you know the width for the long tables. Banquet tables sizes can vary depending on the venue or rental company and vintage specialty table sizes come in all different shapes.  Our rule of thumb is if you are doing rectangle tables 8X40 is an ideal size. You can get away with a tad smaller but you will need to adjust your floral centerpiece sizes according.

3. Trick with Tapper Candles

If you plan to use candlesticks or also known as a taper candle ensure they are dripless or you are using a clear cover around them.  If candle wax gets on a rented linen you or the couple will have to replace it and this can get costly!

4. Fire Safety

Be mindful that candles are not near any rogue flowers or greenery. We often like to go around to each table and adjust all the candles if we have lower or more boho style centerpieces. We definitely don’t want our couple’s guests to be extinguishing any small fires with their water glasses.
