Day 2 of LVL Academy begins with instructors, Lindsay & Heather, sitting down with open hearts and candid advice. Throughout the years, we have realized that the best advice we have ever received came from others being open about sharing their mistakes. This chat creates an authentic space for attendees to ask questions and gain the tools to get through the not so pretty parts of begin a wedding planner.
We then focus on everyone's favorite topic - how to create all the pretty parts of a wedding day including how to create vision from inspiration, how to bring that vision to life, and the importance of creative partners. We had the pleasure of introducing Jesi Haack, owner of Jesi Haack Design, to our attendees. Jesi shared her story, the important differences between a planner and designer, and what planners can do make her job go more smoothly.
Attendees then had the opportunity to learn how to set a proper table setting and take an Instagram-worthy photo of the beautiful tablescape. The talented Nancy Teasley from Oak and the Owl stepped in to talk about color palette while demonstrating how to create a centerpiece. Attendees then got hands-on and learned how to make a boutonniere on the fly, experienced a live demo with Aisle Planner, and, with the help of Found Vintage Rentals, learned how to create the perfect lounge. Brian Lee, owner of Elevated Pulse Productions, chatted with attendees about lighting options and design as well as DJ services.
Dinner was held right around the corner at the amazing Found Vintage Rentals warehouse. Attendees got a tour of the warehouse and an inside look at their expansive (and gorgeous) inventory. Following a heartfelt thank you toast from the instructors, Colette's Catering topped off the weekend with a delicious dinner.
Attendees walked away with tangible tools, resources, and experience to help them on their journey to becoming a successful wedding planner. And most importantly, as new members of the Planner Life Community, they now have a support system of fellow planners and professionals to lean on as they elevate their careers in the industry.
